Branch Associate / Counter Associate

TheBranch Associate position is an important, hands-on role; in which you will be providing outstanding experience to our commercial customers.

As a member of Locke’s Commercial Division, you will:

• Primarily be responsible for interfacing with customers to process orders and inquiries through quoting product prices, providing delivery specifications and payment terms and by offering substitute products where applicable.
• May be assigned to one or more Outside Sales Representatives, providing sales support and customer service for specific customers.
• Develop new and current customer accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to callers.
• Maintain current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms and other pertinent account details.
• Negotiate and establish sales quotes based on volume of products purchased and nature of marketplace to effectively offer competitive pricing and ensure the highest profitability.

Experience required:

• Commercial Job estimation and submittal processes.
• Installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical materials
• Commercial supply house best customer practices and industry standards.

What are the Requirements for an Branch Associate / Counter Associate:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office applications).
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Strong Written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Desire to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Must pass a D.O.T Physical and drug test.

Working conditions for a commercial Branch Associate includes a combination of retail store, hands-on training exercises, meetings, workshops, and presentations. Occasional travel may be required and could include sales calls to customer’s offices and/or jobsites.
