Seasonal position. Starts in May and ends mid August.
Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patrons and audience members.
· Exhibit excellent public relations skills by addressing CRT’s patrons, staff, and volunteers in a respectful and friendly manner.
· Demonstrate a collaborative team effort with other CRT employees by operating respectfully, enthusiastically, positively, and friendly manner.
· Maintain operations and troubleshoot problems to ensure sales are handled quickly and efficiently to the best of one’s ability.
· Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions.
· Be able to handle potentially stressful situations easily and maturely in a fast-paced work environment.
· Help complete other office duties that serve CRT's successful daily operations.
· Possess excellent computer skills; an electronic ticketing program completes ticket sales.
· Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and mathematical abilities.
· Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
· Have the capacity and willingness to work flexible and irregular hours.
· Have the ability to commute between CRT’s two locations in the City of Cortland and the Little York Pavilion in Preble.
· Requested to attend the Opening night of all 5 summer productions to be able to give patrons an adequate review of production and answer any questions regarding said production.
Possess a valid driver’s license and own a reliable form of transportation
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, or a related field is preferred
- guest services,theater, hospitality, or cash handling experience is a plus
- Experience working with children or in a family-friendly environment is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
- Comfortable with public speaking and interacting with a diverse range of individuals
