Broadway Rose Theatre Company
Position: Box Office Associate – Part-Time, 20 hours per week
The Broadway Rose Theatre Company Box Office Associate serves as the front-line Box Office representative, providing exceptional customer service with exquisite attention to detail, and assisting with Box Office operations.
Reports to: Patron Services Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide highest quality of customer service for all Broadway Rose patrons.
- Provide ticketing services for Broadway Rose subscribers and single ticket patrons.
- Sell tickets to patrons over the phone during designated Box Office hours, and in person at designated performances.
- Maintain a proficient and working knowledge of Tessitura, the company’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) database.
- Observe Broadway Rose’s ticketing policies, and PCI compliance.
- Be able to create, update, and recognize internal coding on a patron account.
- Research and alter patron accounts, including exchanges, payments, adding and removing tickets, etc.
- Recognize and maintain a working understanding of season and single ticket event codes, venue seat maps, ticket types and pricing for all events.
- Stay up to date about current marketing promotions.
- Communicate any customer service issues that may need special attention to the Patron Services Manager.
- Help keep marketing and Box Office staff informed of on-going patron needs, complaints, problems, or other feed-back to assist us in providing excellent customer service and meeting the needs of our patrons.
- Participate in meetings as needed.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks, reporting, office projects, special event, and other duties as assigned.
Work schedule:
- The Box Office Associate works primarily Monday – Friday, noon to 4:00 p.m.
- Occasionally the Box Office Associate may work extended hours and production performances.
- All work will be conducted at the Broadway Rose New Stage Theatre or the Deb Fennell Auditorium at Tigard High School; both venues are located in Tigard, Oregon.
Essential skills and experience:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or sales required.
- 1+ year of professional Box Office experience is preferred.
- Phone sales experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tessitura, or compatible CRM management and ticketing systems preferred.
- Competency in the use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Available to work flexible hours.
- Must have personal reliable transportation.
- Excellent active listening skills and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multitask, team environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility.
- Comfortable with standard office environment including overlapping phone conversations, computer, and printer noise.
- Interest and/or an appreciation of musical theater.
