General Summary of Duties:
The Restaurant Reservations Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for guests, visitors and callers. Make sure all of the information on the computer, OpenTable, and SevenRooms is current/accurate. Answer telephone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Examples of Duties (include but are not limited to the following):
- Answer telephone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Request sufficient information from the caller to be able to make a reservation
- Perform clerical duties such as typing correspondence and reports, filing and answering phones
- Plotting the reservation book daily to ensure maximum capacity is accommodated
- Provide administrative support to the management staff
- Print menus and daily documents making updates as needed
- In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the restaurant.
- Create and merge form documents
- Create mailing lists and labels
- Maintain and upkeep all office equipment
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a reservationist in a fine dining restaurant a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Requires food and beverage knowledge
- Must possess basic computational ability; computer skills, including Word, TripleSeat, Excel, OpenTable, SevenRooms and account management software as well as familiarity with the dining room layout
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Education:
- High school or equivalent education required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
