Join our dynamic team as a Bottling EHS Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the health and safety of our site bottling team members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the environmental well-being of our community. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with corporate environmental and safety experts to develop and implement comprehensive compliance plans and educational programs that adapt to changing regulations. Your role will involve managing and developing your direct reports, ensuring they are effectively implementing EH&S processes while continuously advancing their own skills.

 

Your responsibilities will span across ensuring environmental compliance in partnership with Corporate Environmental Specialists, acting as the representative for on-site OSHA inspections, and continuously updating site policies to meet EPA or Cal/OSHA regulations. You'll play a critical role in facilitating inspections, negotiating permits with agencies, and overseeing the enforcement of heat exposure regulations, among other essential duties.

 

We're looking for someone who can lead by example, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsible for managing regulatory reporting, overseeing environmental/safety training, and leading investigations into incidents to prevent their recurrence.

 

This role requires a proactive and dedicated individual ready to tackle challenges head-on, negotiate effectively, and engage in regulatory rule-making discussions. What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of environmental health & safety management, process safety management, manufacturing risk management planning, behavioral based safety, environmental management, or process engineering experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of environmental health & safety management, process safety management, manufacturing risk management planning, behavioral based safety, environmental management, or process engineering experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility.
  • Supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience managing environmental, health, or safety function(s) for a manufacturing organization.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of CPG environmental health & safety management experience reflecting increasing levels responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management principles.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Experience to writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Experience effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in the use of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel at a basic level; MS Word and MS Access at an intermediate level.

 

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $$118,600 - $178,000 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
