Bookkeeping Clerk

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Bookkeeping Clerk to join our finance team and contribute to the precision and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry:
   • Accurately record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
   • Ensure the timely and precise entry of financial data into the accounting system.
2. Bank Reconciliation:
   • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
   • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable Support:
   • Assist in processing invoices and payments for accounts payable.
   • Support accounts receivable activities, including issuing invoices and recording customer payments.
4. General Ledger Maintenance:
   • Contribute to the maintenance of the general ledger through journal entries and reconciliations.
   • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
5. Financial Reporting:
   • Generate standard financial reports for management review.
   • Provide ad-hoc financial reports as requested.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or data entry role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
