Blue Moon Acres is currently seeking to hire a part-time contracted bookkeeper at our family-run Buckingham, PA Farm. Over the last 33 years, Blue Moon Acres has become a well-recognized name in the food industry. Our greens can be found on the plates of fine restaurants throughout New York City, Philadelphia and across the East Coast. In 2008, we began growing Certified Organic produce on our farm in Pennington, NJ. Owners Jim and Kathy are dedicated to growing the highest quality produce with the least amount of environmental impact.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years bookkeeping experience.
- A good working knowledge of Quickbooks.
Duties include:
- 25-30 hours/wk.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Enter check, ACH and credit card payments, create credit memos, review A/R aging for weekly holds, determine what delinquent customers will go to collections and prepare supporting paperwork to send to the agency.
- Monthly emailing of statements and follow up work of emailing missing invoices, correcting changed contact information when emails are bounced back and attend to any other customer requests.
- Accounts Payable:
- Enter invoices and attached packing slips to proper invoices for proof of receipt and pay bills weekly.
- Payroll:
- Check timecards for missing punches, duplicate punches etc.
- Enter hours into Quickbooks, process paper checks and direct deposits, enter vacation time, sick time, or holiday pay.
- Update employee files with pay increases, vacation and sick time and keep track of PTO taken.
- Set up new employees in QB and PayClock and issue timecards.
- File and pay biweekly payroll taxes and file and pay quarterly payroll taxes.
- Company Credit Card:
- Provide a copy of monthly card charges to employees possessing company cards for review of charges and download credit card charges for individual company cards monthly.
- Monthly bank reconciliation.
- Maintain company files: Box and store current records. Shred old records.
- Renew vehicle registrations online when needed.
Pay: $35/hr.
