Position Description:
CGI Federal is looking for team members at our Arkansas Passport Center Book Print Production facility.
The Book Personalization Supervisor, plans, directs, and coordinates the daily activities of Book Print, Card Print, Quality Control, and Mailroom. Responsible for setting work priorities and assuring a smooth transition of all work between the various departments. Interprets policies and procedures and established goals for subordinates. Conducts all training for department and reviews quality of work being completed by employees.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Book Personalization Manager, plans, directs, and coordinates the daily activities of book print, card print, quality control, and mailroom, to include but not limited to:
• Passport book and card personalization
• Verification of accuracy of printed data and quality of personalized passport books, and cards
• Proper delivery of passports, and cards to applicants
• Operation of automated postal machines and coordination of all mail pick-ups by the USPS and private carriers
• Sets work priorities and assures smooth transition of all work between departments
• Monitors department production and makes necessary adjustments to ensure production goals are being met
• Assigns and reviews work of subordinates
• Interprets policies/procedures and establishes goals for subordinates
• Monitors employee production for quality and quantity
• Tracks employee time and attendance
• Conducts performance appraisals and makes recommendations for salary reviews
• Counsels employees regarding job performance and conducts disciplinary actions as required
• Assists in recruiting and hiring process for department
• Conducts training for department, to include but not limited to, work procedures, regulations, and proper postal requirements
• Interfaces with CGI and Department of State managers on regular basis
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include: 50 State Criminal,
Education, Employment, and Credit Checks
• Ability to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust security clearance
• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience supervising a staff in a production environment OR 5 years of direct supervision of at least 5 people in a production environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced functionality in MS office applications, including Excel and Word
Additional Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds, repetitively.
OPTIONAL: Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required
Experience working in a quota-based production environment such as manufacturing and call centers.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $48,500 - $63,100.
