Summary: Responsible for steam system, utilities, and general maintenance of plant equipment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance of the steam system
- Safe and reliable operation of boilers
- Maintaining the boiler and feed water chemistry
- Repairs on steam piping and steam system components
- Responsible for maintenance of utility equipment
- Lubrication and maintenance of air compressors .
- Maintenance of filters, dryers, regulators, and oilers
- Water system pumps, filters, and back flow preventers
- Replace filters and motors on HVAC equipment
- Preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Repair, replace, install, or paint equipment as required.
- Fabricate new parts using machine shop equipment or welding as needed
- Identify needed parts and write parts requests.
- Clean the boiler room, engine room, and maintenance shop regularly.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and make repairs of plant equipment.
- Diagnose basic electrical problems affecting utility equipment.
Other
- Interact with production operators, supervisors, suppliers and contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task.
- Assure product quality throughout the entire process.
- Attend company meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Requirements
- Stationary Engineer License 2nd Grade
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Able to perform physical demands such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting materials, etc. for long periods of time.
- Speak, read, & write English fluently.
