SalaryWe are seeking a diligent and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles and a keen eye for detail. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating effectively with customers and insurance companies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of repairs needed
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
- Communicate with customers to explain repair options and provide cost estimates
- Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain approval for repairs and negotiate repair costs when necessary
- Order necessary parts and materials for repairs
- Monitor repair progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule
- Address any customer concerns or questions throughout the repair process
- Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or similar role in the automotive industry
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Audatex)
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes and procedures is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in automotive repair is a plus
