Charleston Pediatric Rehabilitation offers ABA, PT, OT, and ST all at one location at our North Charleston clinic. Our main objective is to provide in-house multi-disciplinary support for each child and parent receiving services. We are currently accepting resumes for a BCBA in the Charleston area.
In our ABA department, we specialize in treating behaviors that interfere with daily living and addressing behavior skill deficits in children aged 2-16. We are looking for candidates that enjoy collaborating with a supportive team to meet the individual needs of each child. This position offers the opportunity to do therapy primarily in one of our outpatient clinics, with occasional sessions in the home and/or in the community as needed. Current Position Needed: Charleston Pediatric Rehabilitation is looking for either a part-time or full time BCBA. Our ABA services are expanding and our department is growing! This is a unique position with many opportunities to grow your clinical skills while having stable hours and a supportive staff. We currently serve clients with Tricare, BCBS, and Medicaid.
BCBA Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in ABA, Psychology, Education or similar field while meeting coursework requirements to sit for BCBA (e.g., Masters level SLP with BCBA coursework completed)
- Hold Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
- A minimum of one year post BCBA certification working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience of training, supervising and coaching RBT’s
- Comfortable with working in clients' homes and schools
- Patience, dedication, the ability to laugh and learn, and the commitment to change the lives of the children we serve
- Experience administering and interpreting the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, EFL, AFLS, PDDBI, Vineland, etc.
- Knowledge in Verbal Behavior Programming is preferred
- Experience running and writing FBA's, Functional Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Proficiency in clinical procedures, techniques, and documentation
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
- Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Able to lift 40 pounds. Able to crawl on the floor, work on his/her knees or while sitting on the floor, kneel, squat, and reach overhead
Essential BCBA job responsibilities:
- Adhere to a tiered model care delivery model
- Ensuring ABA clients receive appropriate and effective treatment plans based on clinical data, personalized assessment and evidence based practice
- Conduct initial assessment and write treatment plan
- Monitor treatment integrity, making changes needed as needed
- Update treatment plans
- Develop and oversee transition/discharge plans
- Supervise implementation of treatment
- Train registered behavior technicians (RBT) in various ABA procedures
- Provide in-depth parent training on all areas of each client’s treatment plan
- Collaborate with providers, parents/caregivers, and schools on client’s treatment plan
- Attend IEP meeting as needed, communicating with school staff when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Acquire and provide training on new technical knowledge based on current ABA research
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Ensure all billing is complete
- Productivity goal of 25 billable hours a week

Charleston Pediatric Rehabilitation serves over 500 children in the Tri-County area and has a full-time staff to manage all physician orders, insurance company authorizations, and other support you need while you focus on meeting the needs of your clients. We offer continuing education and support a collaborative approach with all therapies involved with each child. You will also receive clinical support from an ABA coordinator for caseload management, growth in desired professional interests, and aide with documentation.
