Job Description
Your challenge
As a Biomedical Engineer at Philips Oral Healthcare, you are accountable for ensuring the product development team follows the Philips V-model processes aligned with the standardized processes in the Philips Quality Management System, to ensure products exceed consumer expectations and are safe and reliable in the field.
You are responsible for
• Developing a System Integration strategy and leading System Integration activities in development team
• Focus on Whitening and Oral Hygiene products and solutions, including active chemistry, primary packaging.
• Developing and following up on the product design FMEA that feeds into the element design FMEAs.
• Setting up the database that is used by the project team to document outputs of the Philips V-model process.
You are a part of
As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be a part of the core team for Whitening and novel oral care products and solutions, working on key innovation projects.
Throughout the project, you will closely work with the Project Manager, as well as a variety of technical subject matter experts across multiple functions both locally and internationally.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in a product development or cosmetics development environment, preferably in regulated cosmetics or medical device domain.
  • Awareness of Product Development quality processes and end-to-end exposure to Systems Engineering activities in all phases of product development life cycle (concept to release).

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position is $96,000-$177,00.00 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
