A day in the life a Bindery Operator
First off, we've been in business for a long time, so that means that we have several qualified people that will be available to train you and get you up to speed quickly. We want you to know exactly how to do your job and what to expect going forward.
Working as a Bindery Operator will give you the opportunity to do lots of different things. It's really a mix of different jobs and projects that involve using the cutter, folder, stitch liner combined with your expertise all rolled into one awesome job. You will also be engaging with the CSR's as well as working with your team, whether it is via email, or in person. You'll be a key player in ensuring that projects are done right and within company quality standards.
If you have a question or need some help, you'll be surrounded by helpful, friendly people who are ready to jump in and collaborate with you in finding the best solution for the customer's needs. Our open-door policy ensures that you can get access to the person who has the information or knowledge that you need to get the job done right.
What you will need to be qualified for this job
To be qualified for this job, you've got to have a positive and can do attitude. You'll be processing projects for our highly valuable customers on a daily basis, so it is vital that you have a high attention to detail. While you are working with our various team members and customers, you will also be representing the culture and core values of the company so you must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. You'll also need to know how to use the tools of the trade that means you should have good computer skills and an ability to use bindery equipment such as Polar Mohr cutters, MBO/Stahl folders, HHS glue systems, Muller Martini stitchers, and our stich liner machine. And finally, since it isn't likely that you have used all the systems that your new job will require, you've got to be willing to jump in and learn how to use our systems and provide feedback on things that we can improve.
