Bim Coordinator (Kenilworth, New Jersey)

Doka USA Ltd. is seeking a BIM Coordinator (Kenilworth, NJ) to develop and implement US Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy for Tekla software. Identify potentials for automation to improve the efficiency and quality of BIM implementation using Parametric modeling. Engage in BIM content and standardize BIM workflows. Conduct Tekla trainings and provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance for BIM workflows. Administer BIM coordination meetings internally or with consultants, contractors, and clients. Up to 30% domestic travel and 10% international travel required. Telecommuting permitted.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the formwork industry. Must have experience with: designing of standard and special applications of vertical and horizontal formwork systems; designing formwork systems for high-rise and infrastructure projects; designing custom steel parts and shaping timbers for formwork application; providing engineering support and training to project(s) utilizing Tekla Structures software, Tekla Model Sharing platform, and Trimble Connect collaboration tool; developing advance Tekla Structures custom components, reports, and drawing templates; documenting and standardizing BIM workflows and coordinating BIM projects throughout a project life cycle; creating 4D/5D models and animations; managing Tekla Structures company environment and BIM databases; developing Rhino 3D and Grasshopper parametric modeling workflows and scripts; programing C# language plugins using Tekla Structures API; developing technical documentation, operation instructions, and reports; reading blueprints of various structures within infrastructure, high-rise, commercial, institutional, and other building sectors; computer software such as Tekla, Rhino, and Grasshopper; utilizing concrete and steel material and standard methods of forming structures built out of concrete, or a combination of concrete and steel; and building methodology and site logistics, such as construction equipment, building schedule, BIM interface and collaboration, and site constraints.
