BIM(Building Information Modeling) Assistant
Job Description:
The BIM Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of BIM activities during the construction of a new manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for an individual with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines and a keen interest in utilizing BIM technology to enhance construction processes.
Responsibilities:
  • BIM Development: Assist in the development and implementation of BIM processes and workflows to support the construction of the manufacturing facility.
  • Model Maintenance: Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain and update BIM models throughout the construction process, ensuring that they accurately reflect the as-built conditions on site.
  • Coordination: Work closely with the project team to coordinate BIM activities, including clash detection, model coordination, and resolution of conflicts.
  • Data Management: Assist in the organization and management of BIM-related data, including model files, documentation, and project information.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools and workflows, helping to ensure that they are utilized effectively throughout the construction process.
  • Turnover Documentation: Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for turnover to the site team, including as-built models, drawings, and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Some experience or coursework in BIM technology and processes.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
