JRI’s Community Based Services division provides care to ensure that families and their children with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs obtain the services necessary for success in the home, school, and community. In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by supporting this mission through use of your administrative skills. Our staff provide services in the communities where the people we serve live, utilizing strength-based and needs-driven choices, offering a team-based approach collaboration with the people we work with that is grounded in culturally competent, individualized services and the use of evidence-based practices. 
 
The Regional Admissions/Eligibility Team of the Community Based Division is a new department of professionals that is tasked with providing an exceptional, client–centered focus for incoming persons served and external referral sources. The goal is to help people get the care they need, and help navigate the complicated intake, eligibility and authorization process for both public and private insurances accepted by JRI. The Regional Admissions/Eligibility Specialist will be a client-facing role that works from home and is responsible for processing referrals received through a centralized referral process and via other means. The Regional Admissions/Eligibility Specialist will answer client and referral partner calls and outreaches.  This Regional Admission/Eligibility position will work with the Northeast Lynn/Salem region CBS programs. Will Work with the Regional Assistant to ensure setup of clients in the EMR, collect necessary demographic and clinically relevant information to serve them best, and work with families and referring providers to obtain initial intake paperwork prior to service admissions.   

       

The Regional Admissions/Eligibility Specialist Team will interact and collaborate with each other, front office staff, billing staff, clinicians, and clinic/Program directors within the JRI Community Based Services Division and serves as an internal intake help desk when support is required to deliver excellent client experience and care. Our goal is to partner with clients and staff in healthy and culturally competent ways!

YOU will be able to utilize and perform data entry into the Medical Records software systems. 

YOU will be able to perform third party insurance verification and insurance authorization renewals. 

YOU will be able to perform your duties from home with the support of our team! 

Being Bilingual a plus!! We offer a bilingual bonus to any candidate who speaks, reads and writes in a different language other than English. And for this role, we are seeking a candidate who can speak SPANISH

Requirements: 
 
The qualified candidate will have at least some experience in health insurance reimbursement; insurance verification and human services admission process as it pertains to behavioral health and outpatient treatment services. 

  • Must be able to understand the complexities of the insurance reimbursement workflow and related processes pertaining to Mass Health Plans, Commercial Plans and Medicare plans. 

  • This position requires strong computer skills. 

  • Candidate must have exceptional communication and organizational skills and keen attention to detail while demonstrating the ability to multi-task. 

  • Candidate must be comfortable communicating in person and on the phone, specifically experience with verifying insurance benefits over the phone and online, informing patients so they understand their benefits, managing prior authorizations, and updating pertinent information in an online medical records system. Guide, train, support and supervise the Regional Admissions Assistant Specialist in daily tasks and operations for the Regional Admissions/Eligibility Department. 

  • Candidates must have the ability to use independent judgment and discretion and the ability to prioritize tasks. 

  • Applicant must have an active driver’s license and ability to be at work on time with some potential travel to corporate sites on an annual or quarterly basis required. 

  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
