Bilingual Education Institute has an IMMEDIATE OPENING, for Bilingual Intake/Outreach Associate who speaks Spanish.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position identifies and registers eligible refugee students through partnered resettlement agencies and direct outreach. Looking for a person who has a passion for making a difference in the community and can help fulfill our organization’s mission by reaching out to the community and making meaningful connections. Meet with clients and verify the eligibility of the clients for the Refugee Social Services Program. The client must have all documents demonstrating eligibility. Verify with case manager, past and present class attendance. Handle, copy, and file confidential documents from clients. Register and enroll clients in ESL classes. Propose and establish ESL classes based on the enrollment of clients in the program. Assess client's needs and recommend services need for success during ESL classes. Perform outreach in the community associated with the placement of clients associated with partner agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years - Customer Service.
- Knowledge or experience in educational programs, a plus. Experience and knowledge in a non-profit program, are preferred but not required.
- Must be fluent in Spanish
PREFERRED SKILLS
The ideal candidate will have computer skills, be a self-starter, be responsible and have the ability to multi-task

Must have a vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - 19.00 per hour
