JOB TITLE:                          Bilingual Outreach Therapist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:         Part-time, 20 hours/wk

SCHEDULED HOURS:         Flexible M-F 8AM-8PM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:  Intimate Partner Violence

The goal of IPV is to establish a comprehensive response to Intimate Partner Violence that offers meaningful and sustainable help to families that is safe, respectful, culturally relevant and responsive to the unique strengths and concerns of the family. This service provides a supportive service array of assessments, interventions and linkages to services to address the needs of families impacted by Intimate Partner Violence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes intake assessment and treatment recommendations for parents identified within IPV: Fair and determine eligibility for the Mother’s and More and Father’s for Change Model.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.
  • Safety plan with protective parent and children
  • Demonstrates competency in treating domestic violence, mental health and substance abuse diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with DCF and participate in HUBB meetings

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to each family’s cultural needs.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers.
  • Coordinates client-centered treatment planning.
  • Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports.
  • Responsible for Maintaining Client and Staff Records According to Agency Policy
  • Provides Coverage for team members during periods of absence.
  • Participates in weekly supervision and meetings to review client and program progress.
  • Transports clients, when necessary using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Master’s Degree or higher in mental health field

Experience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with crisis, domestic violence and co-occurring mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Demonstrates knowledge and experience in crisis and domestic violence.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Eligible to obtain LCSW, LMFT, LPC.  LMSW, LPC-A and LMFT-A are acceptable.

Bi-lingual in Spanish: Required

COMPENSATION RANGE*:

$54,996 min-$82,494 max, commensurate upon experience

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of a strict calculation process, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
