Job Title:Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish-English) - Remote
Pay: $25.00 - Full-time only M-F 8:30-5pm

Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (Spanish-English) Medical Assistant to join our team remotely. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide essential translation services from Spanish to English and vice versa, as well as handle customer service calls to assist clients with the processing and payment of medical claims. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient communication and claim processing, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our clients.
This position is only available to MC/DC/V A as local knowledge of the area is required. In person interview required at our Rockville office for selected candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Translation Services:

   • Accurately translate medical documents, patient records, and correspondence from Spanish to English and vice versa.
   • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all translated materials.

2. Customer Service:

   • Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls in both Spanish and English.
   • Assist clients in understanding the claims submission and payment process.
   • Resolve client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.

3. Claim Assistance:

   • Collaborate with the claims processing team to input claims codes and details accurately.
   • Verify and validate claim information for completeness and accuracy.
   • Escalate complex claim issues to the appropriate department for resolution.

4. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and claim-related activities.
   • Prepare reports summarizing client interactions and claim status updates.

5. Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with all relevant medical, legal, and regulatory standards.
   • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Previous experience in medical translation and/or customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is a plus.
