Our residential programs are ready to hire aBilingual Lead Youth Care Worker to join the team in our Emergency Shelters.

We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals that are committed to building a culture of kindness for the children receiving services.

In this role you are responsible to ensure direct supervision and observation of All YCW on shift. Maintain the safety, physical and emotional well-being and supervision of the children in the Agency's care

$3,000 Sign on Bonus!

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 8:45PM- 7:00AM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop effective communication procedures with YCW team to ensure all children are accounted and supervised during the shift.
  • Oversee Youth Care staff and ensure execution of their assigned duties and adherence to administrative and programmatic policies and procedures as directed by program leadership. Report performance concerns and/or problems to program leadership.
  • Ensure proper ratio coverage on shift and communicate any needs or issues immediately to program leadership.
  • Ensure safety, security, and sanitation standards are maintained in all work areas.
  • Report and properly document all incidents in a timely manner; prior to the end of the shift or within 4 hours as per ORR Policy on incidents deemed serious incidents including any abuse, neglect, restraints or runaway.
  • Work closely with program directors to develop new resident orientation and onboarding plans; assist with the new resident orientation
  • Ensures that assigned shift follows Agency guidelines and policies, monitors staff and records to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for assigned personnel activities in this program, including, but not limited to:
  • Attend and participates in Agency related meetings and trainings as appropriate
  • May participate in interview and selection of employees
  • Evaluation of employee performance
  • Provides supervision as assigned
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the effective use of tone and words
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and positive rapport with service population strong writing skills with proficient use of Word, Excel and Outlook

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Education must consist of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • English/ Spanish bilingual capabilities required.
  • Must have at least 1-year experience supervising staff.
  • Must have Arizona Driver License, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and be able to be added to Agency auto policy.
  • Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients.
  • Must maintain all Agency and licensing training and certification requirements.
  • Must have experience in word processing in a windows environment.
  • Must have computer knowledge / proficiency in log notes that can been entered as required.
  • Must be able to obtain Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card immediately upon hire
