Job Description
Must Haves:
- Bilingual in Spanish & English.
- Minimum age of 21 years or older.
- Minimum 1 year of direct childcare experience.
- Driver’s License
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check.
Plusses:
- Experience with children in child welfare or social service setting.
- Excellent presentation skills, as well as oral and written communication skills.
Day-to-day:
The Youth Care Worker is responsible for all Direct Care to adolescents ages 5-17. They always provide continuous line of sight supervision to their assigned unaccompanied children (UCs). They will assist with the movement of children from one activity to the next. They ensure quality care of all unaccompanied children and follow all Office of Refugee Resettlement policies. Providing written reports on behavior.
Shifts: 12 hour shifts 4 days on and 3 days off. Candidates must be willing to work both Day and Night Shifts. (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am)
