Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. High School education or equivalent preferred.
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
4. Previous security experience preferred.
5. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Tribal Gaming Registration, Responsible Beverage Service State Certification, and a valid California Driver's License.
6. Must have completed Casino's Security Academy.
7. Attend and certify in the Graton Resort Casino's Bike Officer Class.
8. Certified in the use of a Baton and approved chemical agent.
9. CPR/AED Certification required.
10. Must not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is required.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
3. Ability to subdue person(s), ability to run 25 yards, climb stairs, sit, stand and walk for duration of shift. Ability to drag an unconscious person during an evacuation.
4. Acute sense of smell and sound, and the ability to communicate using a two-way radio and telephone.
5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
6. Ability to withstand extreme outdoor conditions.
7. Ability to ride and carry a bicycle for duration of shift. Ability to load a bicycle into a vehicle.
8. Further physical requirements include but not limited to:

Job Description
Position Summary:
Ensure the safety and security of guests, Team Members and Company assets. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Perform all the duties of a Security Officer in addition to being deployed outdoors on bicycle, vehicle or foot with baton and chemical agent.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Graton Resort Casino's culture and demonstrating Service Standards at all times.
2. Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
3. Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and Company grounds for the safety of guests and Team Members.
4. Respond to all disturbances in order to defuse the incident. Be prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation when necessary. Always remain alert.
5. Observe report and take action as directed by the supervisor with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
6. Transport and protect Company funds.
7. Document all incidents as directed by the immediate supervisor.
8. Escort Team Members to and from their vehicles when requested. Jump-start Team Members' vehicles when needed.
9. Have working knowledge of, and enforce, all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
10. Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
11. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
12. Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
13. Maintain a high level of grooming and uniform standards. Nametags are to be worn at all times.
14. Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
15. Be aware of and handle guest opportunities.
16. Must have knowledge of MSDS booklet location for your area.
17. Patrol hotel grounds, guest and Team Member parking areas and surrounding areas continually observing them for prowlers, parking in restricted areas, blocking of exits and fire hazards.
18. Issue parking citations for unauthorized parking.
19. Assist Valet parking attendants in controlling traffic when necessary.
20. Investigate and prepare written reports on incidents that occur outside during the shift.
21. Assist other Security Officers when required.
22. Be alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers and removal of hotel / casino property without proper authorization.
23. Will report any damage to Shift Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor or Field Training Officer.
