Job Description
We are looking for an individual with successful experience as a bid coordinator and someone who can manage our DBE/SBE submittals/outreach. This individual must have experience with the following and the experience must be specific to heavy civil construction within Southern California.

Education:
At a minimum a high school diploma is required but college undergraduate degree is preferred. However, prior successful experience in this position for a heavy civil construction company can be substituted for a college degree.
Experience:
Must have at least 5+ years of direct experience as a bid coordinator in heavy civil construction within Southern California. Must be familiar and have direct experience in preparing bid documents for submittal to local public works entities, and preparing and supervising DBE/SBE outreach, including preparation of solicitations, and Good Faith Efforts. Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience.
Must have experience reviewing bid documents and specifications for bid proposal and DBE/SBE requirements.
Must be experienced with bidding requirements for Southern California public works agencies and must be able to demonstrate such experience.
Skills:
- Positions requires competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
- Should be experienced in quote solicitations software; Building Connected or other.
- CA Notary preferred, but not required.
- Motivated, self-starter.

- Review Bid Document Requirements
- Review requirements & discuss specific requirements and how we will meet these requirements
- Prepare Bid Documents for Submittal
- Including participation with bid closing
- Subcontractor / DBE Forms
- Subcontractor & vendor outreach
- Basic outreach (all sub & vendors)
- DBE/SBE/etc. Outreach
- Good Faith Efforts
- Review project specific requirements
- Supervise overall good faith efforts
- Make sure estimators know & understand the requirements
- Prepare GFE Submittals
- General Outreach / Industry Networking
- Track changes in agency requirements
- Attend networking events (Priority on small & disadvantaged business events)
- Network with business groups
- Organization of Bid Docs
- Plans and Specs
- Addenda
