About the Position
The Bicycle Service Manager is responsible for managing the service department and ensuring that customers receive top-quality service for their bicycles. The manager will oversee a team of service technicians and coordinate their work to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the service department, including scheduling service appointments, managing customer inquiries and complaints, and overseeing the work of service technicians.
Train and develop service technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform repairs on a variety of bicycles.
Maintain a clean and organized service department, ensuring that all equipment and tools are in good working order.
Ensure that service department operations are efficient and effective, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies to ensure that the service department is well-stocked.
Collaborate with other departments within the company to provide a seamless customer experience.
Ensure that all service work is performed according to industry standards and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in bicycle mechanics is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bicycle Service department, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role.
Knowledge of a variety of bicycle brands and models, as well as the tools and equipment used for repairs.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
