Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic will provide installation, maintenance and repair services for HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and other minor maintenance tasks for CMI’s client in Washington, DC.
Key Job Functions
- Basic Building automation experience, Siemens/ Trane Tracer
- Operation, inspection, repair and maintenance of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Work with Chief Engineer to complete tasks related to building maintenance, repairs and installations
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, new construction, maintenance, repair and modifications
- Ability read blueprints, drawings, shop sketches and verbal instruction
- Basic carpentry, painting and drywall
- Complete installations and modifications of mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and repair building mechanical/electrical and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair high and low voltage electrical systems and equipment
- Perform plumbing repairs, toilets, sinks, domestic water system, etc
- Review projects to ensure compliance with building standards and to ensure that work meets tenant satisfaction
Education and Qualifications
- At least a High School diploma
- Universal CFC certification
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident Alien
- Must pass background check and be able to pass security clearance if necessary
- Spanish/English fluency required
- Strong verbal communications skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work
