The BI Architect - Microstrategy is responsible for the successful delivery, design and support of high visibility desktop reports, mobile reports and dashboards. The successful candidate will work closely with end-users and Product Owners to evaluate business requirements, and develop informative views and dashboards to help Costco Logistics run its business more efficiently. Responsibilities will also include incident management and providing proper feedback to end-users regarding reporting system status and/or errors. Supports the Database team.

ROLE

Designs and develops reporting solutions in Microstrategy based on business requirements, semantic models in Azure Analysis Services for BI, and self-service user consumption.

Provides expertise in data visualization and graphical report design.

Actively participates in upgrade and migration projects to MicroStrategy.

Defines and follows MicroStrategy development best practices.

Works closely with Product Owners and data development teams to drive requirements to completion.

Maintains and supports existing business intelligence solutions.

Maintains knowledge of industry standards, best practices and upcoming product releases, with a focus on MicroStrategy.

Mentors other developers in utilizing the tools to the best of their abilities.

REQUIRED

5+ years' experience with MicroStrategy.

5+ years' experience creating complex reports, dashboard applications and scorecards.

5+ years' experience with SQL, with proven ability to write efficient queries.

2+ years' experience with other BI Tools including Power BI, Cognos, BOBJ, Looker or Tableau.

Microstrategy Certified Architect.

Experience writing reports over various data sources including Oracle, HANA and MySQL Server databases.

Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.

Ability to follow processes and execute project deliverables in a timely manner.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests.

Proven ability and desire to grow technical skill set.

Experience working with various Cloud technologies.

Experience with Agile development methodology.

Knowledge of Quality Assurance Tool JIRA, HP ALM.

Working knowledge of ETL like Informatica, Pentaho.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $155,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
