Work Schedules: Wednesday thru Sunday, 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Hours can be subject to change as needs dictate.
Objectives: Accountable for building displays, hanging permanent and litho point of sale materials, completing cooler sets and re-sets and proper product rotation
Pre-requisites: Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with a clear driving record for the previous three years. Ability to: operate power tools safely, work independently, possess excellent organizational skills, and, maintain flexibility in work schedule.
Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 165# and able to maneuver a hand cart loaded with 330# of product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Knowledge and Handling – Knowledge of: brewing process, types of beer, draft beer basics, and, draft sanitation. Ability to: pour draft beer and tap draft beer kegs Ability to: read code dates, handle packages without damage and calculate distribution. Knowledge of: rotation procedures, damage procedures, overage beer procedures and applicable State, Federal, County and Municipal laws regarding advertising, sale and delivery of malt beverage products..
- Point-of-Sale and Selling Skills– Ability to: choose locations for POS and hang permanent POS. Knowledge of: POS zones and retail sales standards. Understanding the importance of understanding the selling sales process by the ability to: identify customer needs, use sales aids, secure commitments, probe effectively, use Features & Benefits, overcome objections/concerns, deal with customer complaints, establish sound communication, and, use trade math.
- Displays – Understanding the importance of displays. Ability to: choose good display locations, build displays and merchandise displays. Knowledge of types of displays.
- Planning – Ability to: read and understand sales reports, set objectives, manage time effectively, and, understanding of critical minute. Plan daily objectives by account.
- Administration – Ability to use ordering system and knowledge of service policy. Understanding the importance and consequences of every stop on the daily sales call list. Skipping stops will be grounds for termination. Confirm with delivery person the status of invoice payment.
- Shelf Space Management - Price Level Merchandising, Days of Supply and Effective Assortment.
- Company requirements – Maintain company good will at all times; maintain a clean, organized work environment (truck, van, warehouse or office); promote a pleasant, positive attitude. Attend all meetings and functions as requested by Management or direct supervisors. Understand all policies, procedures, rules and regulations as published in the Policies and Procedures Manual, company bulletins and meetings.
- Miscellaneous – Report a personal injury, property damage or accident to immediate supervisor on the same shift as the injury, damage or accident occurred. If supervisor is unavailable contact Human Resources.
- Professionalism- Confrontation and insubordination in dealing with customers or other employees are prohibited. Training – Complete computer-based training modules as directed by the General Sales Manager. (Merchandising, On-Premise, Off-Premise, C-Store)
