Beverage Cart

POSITION SUMMARY:

Takes beverage orders, pours beverages, delivers beverages, retail in the Golf Shop, calculates, presents and processes checks while constantly providing exceptional service to all members, guests and coworkers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees.
• Answer questions about menu items and beverages including their ingredients, preparation, accompanying items and make recommendations. Inform customers of daily specials.
• Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of facility.
• Take orders from guests for food and/or beverage items.
• Enter orders and modifications into POS system quickly, in proper sequence and uses appropriate abbreviation.
• Serve or deliver Food and/or Beverages to guests.
• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
• Prepare, present and collect payments on checks.
• Sets up Beverage Cart and bar, maintains and cleans all necessary utensils and equipment for preparation.
• Maintains organized and clean work area.
• Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.
• Communicate with proper manager when inventory is running low and orders need placed.
• Ensures equipment is operated, cleaned, sanitized and maintained consistently and properly.
• Confirms Beverage Cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
• Clean, stock and restock Beverage Cart following set protocol.
• Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
• Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly side work duties set by Manager.
• Reviews schedule for changes, calendar of events and facility activities on a daily basis.
• Must current Food Handlers Card and Tips Certification.
• Attend scheduled training seminars and staff meetings.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
• Maintains a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with members, associates and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work related issues with members or guests.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• Some customer service experience and food & beverage knowledge
• Must have the ability to communicate in English
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
• Communicates well with guests
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a ‘team player’
