We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefit Specialist to join our team. As a Benefit Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. Your role will involve working closely with employees, insurance providers, and other stakeholders to provide exceptional support and guidance regarding benefit options and enrollment processes.
```Responsibilities:```
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental insurance, retirement plans, and more
- Assist employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment processes, and claims procedures
- Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit-related documents
- Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of benefit data and resolve any discrepancies
- Stay up-to-date with changes in benefit regulations and communicate updates to relevant parties
- Provide guidance to employees regarding benefit options, coverage details, and eligibility requirements
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee wellness programs
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
```Requirements:```
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a medical office or managed care setting
- Strong knowledge of medical coding, ICD-9, medical terminology, and insurance verification
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
