REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- 3–5 years insurance industry experience
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with fully insured (cases with 50+ lives), knowledge of self-funded desired
- Applied knowledge in all lines of employee benefits
- Life & Health license required
- Willing to travel locally
- Sound organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Polished oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
RESPONSIBILITIES: The main responsibility is to assist the Sales Executive and Account Team in servicing the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of all phases of the renewal process and support that process as needed, along with the Sales Executive. This includes overseeing the marketing process, assisting with the renewal efforts, and with the coordination of services between the client and the insurance company.
- Initiate correspondence with clients and vendors on all benefits-related matters. This includes in-person, e-mail and phone communication.
- Attend training sessions, conferences/webinars and vendor meetings in an effort to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Collaborate with the Sales Executive and Financial Analyst as needed; on benefit, cost, and claim experience and funding analyses.
- Organize, outline and prepare in collaboration with the Sales Executive, strategic planning, renewal and other benefits-related meeting presentations.
- Lead marketing efforts from beginning to end, including collecting necessary data/information, drafting proposal requests and preparing summary exhibits for the Sales Executive to present.
- Work in concert with the Sales Executive to manage vendor relationships and work with vendors on implementations, issue resolution, performance monitoring and document finalization.
- Collaborate with compliance resources to ensure that client questions and concerns are addressed.
- Assist clients with annual/open enrollment planning; prepare materials, fulfill and distribute materials and present enrollment presentations to employee groups.
- Demonstrate a commitment to career advancement by participating in continuing education programs, including obtaining and maintaining a Wisconsin Life, Accident and Health license and pursuing a CEBS or other related designation.
- You may assist with employee claim issues, missing ID cards and claim appeals. Some billing, enrollment and eligibility assistance may also be required to support employer groups.
