We are looking for an experienced Benefits & Compensation Analyst to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This role is an onsite or hybrid role. The Benefits & Compensation Analyst serves as an internal expert for benefit plan administration, operations and compliance as well as providing support for answering benefits questions, maintaining benefit plan portals and liaising with vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
Day-to-Day
Benefits
- Plan administration, operations, and communications.
- Audit all bills for different benefits for all entities for payment with carriers.
- Manage the leave programs and be the liaison between the third party provider and the company.
- Support the administration of the company health and welfare benefits and retirement plan.
- Handle day-to-day administration of FMLA/STD/ LTD requests and vendor processes and communicate needed actions to HR Managers.
- Serve as subject matter expert on plan operations and facilitate effective and accurate benefits delivery in accordance with plan contracts and provisions.
- Support the annual Open Enrollment period for benefits, including review and edit of communications, coordination of calendar and meeting activities, validation of benefit plan set-up in benefit systems, and assisting employee's with the election processes.
- Partner with the Human Resources leadership to ensure appropriate benefits strategy, offerings and mix.
- Ensure compliance in benefits administration and offerings.
Compensation
- Own and manage the annual compensation review process.
- Price and benchmark compensation for positions.
- Partner with Human Resources team to align compensation programs, decisions and processes with Performance Management activities.
- Partner with Human Resources team to provide and review compensation information to support recruiting of great talent.
Other Activities
- Write and maintain relevant policies.
- Assist in all Mergers and Acquisitions data migration and benefit plan comparisons.
- Conduct data gathering and response writing to industry surveys.
Education & Expectations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related discipline; or Highschool diploma/GED and 5+ years of highly relevant work experience.
- Relevant certification (i.e. CCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, etc.) highly desired.
- 5-7 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits Analysis and/or Management or closely related field.
- Experience with ADP Workforce (the ability to use HRIS system for data tracking and reporting), and a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Expert level of proficiency in compensation management principles and best practices.
- Expert knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements and human resources best practices as they pertain to Compensation and Benefits practices and procedures.
