Summary: As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, this role is responsible is responsible for end-to-end strategy and routine administration of all LLS benefit plans.

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s People Organization Generalist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees, develops, and manages all employee benefit plans, including medical, dental, flexible spending, 403(b) retirement, disability, and life insurance plans.
- Leads plan design, cost evaluation and strategic planning for annual benefits renewal. Presents strategic options and recommendations to leadership.
- Manages vendor relationships with all insurance carriers and benefit broker/consultant.
- Oversees COBRA processing for the organization and manages COBRA vendor.
- Continually grows and promotes the Wellness program, including marketing and communication, selecting content, managing wellness fund provided by insurance carrier, and vendor management.
- Serves as contact for employee questions and HR Generalists regarding benefit plans, coverage, procedures, and processes. Serves as liaison between plan participants and insurance carriers and escalates issues as required to ensure appropriate application of plan provisions.
- Oversees leave management and compliance for the organization. Manages outsourced leave administration and vendor.
- Serves as subject matter expert for benefit trends and market updates to maintain compliance and competitive recruiting position.
- Responsible for benefit program compliance, including making plan documents available to participants, non-discrimination testing, and annual reporting such as 5500.
- Manages benefits coordinator and administrative tasks. Coordinates with finance, payroll team, and other internal departments as needed.
- Assists in building of total reward strategy in cooperation with the Compensation Director.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience working with Dayforce preferred.
- CEBS or World at Work CBP certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in benefit administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A highly professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information and communicate on all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in all applications of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities.
- LLS has a 35-hour work week
- The average salary range is $90,000-$120,000, open to further discussion based on geography.
