GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing our employees health benefit program to include FMLA, ADA and Workers comp. This position will also be in charge of our retirement and life insurance accounts. The Benefits specialist will be reporting directly to the HR Director.

- A self-motivated and dedicated person who is excited and passionate about helping our employees with their benefit needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Handles all questions regarding the company’s benefit programs.
- Reviews all employees’ benefits to ensure they are receiving the correct coverage.
- Coordinates with health care providers and investment brokers
- Consults with management regarding any new and exciting benefits plans.
- Will focus on all FMLA, STD/LTD, and worker comp cases and will follow up with accordance to state and national regulations.
- Ensures compliance in accordance with legislation such as PPACA, ERISA, COBRA.
- Assist with the communication of education of benefits to our current employees.
- Monitor and audit all benefit accounts and payroll adjustments and deductions.
- Assist with benefit related documents in our HRIS.
- Assist with our yearly open enrollment presentations and communications.
- Maintains all employees’ records regarding benefits, retirement, and life plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE and/or REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- 5 Years of Related Experience
- Experience in eligibility, claim, and/or compliance processing
- Knowledge of MS Office 365
- Must possess great communications skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of benefits and HRIS systems
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- Detail-oriented, able to handle and manage conflict, technically astute, collaborative leader

$75,000.00 Annual
