This intern position is for the Summer 2024 season and will span a variety of water related projects and technical disciplines, including but not limited to water resources, rivers and streams, fish passage, stormwater drainage, drinking water supply and treatment, water conveyance, pumping, and storage, wastewater treatment, water reclamation and reuse, etc.
You will have the ability to engage with working professionals and subject matter experts across the water spectrum and beyond. You will have opportunities to work on and build experience with a variety of projects and be supported in choosing your own work assignments. You will participate in team meetings and engagements with local Jacobs staff and professionals across the region and world.

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering in an accredited program
  • Must be at least a rising Senior or Master's Student
  • Submittal of a cover letter with your resume letting us know what types of water-related projects you would like to work on as well as relevant experience you would bring to this position
  • Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
  • Ability to multi-task, juggling tasks at the same time for various projects
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills
  • During the internship, it is expected that you would come into the Bellevue or Seattle office at least 3 days a week. The remaining time can be work from home.

Ideally, you'll also have:
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • A previous internship related to your field of study
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or ArcGIS

Typical hourly rate for this intern position is $27.60/hr and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
