While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.
Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing. As the Behavioral Health Therapist, you will:
- Provide clinical services in accordance with IEP requirements, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with systems/agencies regarding ongoing treatment and disposition planning. Serves as an active member of the psycho-educational treatment team.
- Demonstrate actions and attitudes that contribute to the critical success factors of the organization (i.e. Best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, valued as a faith-based organization, and a growing organization vital to the community).
Qualifications include:
- LMSW/LGPC or LCSW-C/LCPC required
- Masters degree and valid licensure in relevant clinical field required
- One year of experience preferred
Work Schedule:
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (times may be flexible), weekend rotation requirement.
- Free clinical supervision for LMSW and LGPC team members (individual and group) who are working toward advanced licensure
