- 1st (7:00am-7:30 pm) and 2nd shift (7 pm- 7:30 am); scheduled days would be developed with Management.
- Flexible availability and ability to work overtime, required.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is an integral part of team! BHT staff spend the majority of their time at work with our clients however interact with the entire Treatment Team as well. They assist in coordinating the day to day needs of the facility and clients by monitoring and maintaining head counts, 1:1s, client schedules and activities, and clients whereabouts and behaviors. In this position the BHT would interact with our clients in primary substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Essential Functions:
- Provides exceptional quality care.
- Respects the trials, tribulations, and victories of our client's recovery journey.
- Observes, monitors and documents client behaviors, in accordance with facility and State requirements.
- Completes rounds, as instructed by Management, in a timely and accurate manor.
- Promotes and support patient safety at all times.
- Demonstrates an ability to deescalate situations.
- Provides emotional support for clients by referring them to Clinical.
- Communicates with Nursing and Medical if medical assistance is needed.
- Safely transports clients.
- Completes urine drug screenings.
- Supervises the self-administration of medication, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License- MUST BE 21 OR OLDER (Due to Insurance requirement).
- HS Diploma/GED or higher.
- Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health is preferred but not required.
