Join us at Homeward Pikes Peak as a Behavioral Health Technician at our Bloom House Residential Treatment Center. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting clients within a new residential treatment center designed for pregnant and parenting women (PPW). As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in delivering ASAM 3.5 and 3.1 levels of care, collaborating closely with the treatment and program team to address the unique needs of mothers and infants in the program.
Operating within the framework of Special Connections, a gender-responsive program, the RTC aims to maximize the chances of a healthy birth and provide essential postpartum services to sustain the progress made during pregnancy. Special Connections providers offer a range of services, including pregnancy risk assessments, care coordination, group counseling sessions, individual counseling, health education groups, and residential substance use disorder treatment—all within a supportive women-only setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Maintain a case load for each woman; develop individualized service plans.
- Conduct 1-2 case management appointments per week, adjusting over time.
- Set goals for healthy growth, emphasizing recovery, and monitor progress.
- Ensure adherence to Homeward Pikes Peak and Project Detour policies.
- Assist with community engagement and resource acquisition for self-sufficiency.
- Transport clients to appointments when necessary.
Homeward Pikes Peak Team Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings.
- Engage in donor interactions, community events, or fundraising activities.
- Produce timely documentation for audits and audit resolutions.
- Maintain a professional office environment and exhibit effective teamwork.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED required; AA preferred.
- Education and training in a related field (social work, sociology, human services, nursing).
- QMAP certified (or willing to obtain), First Aid, CPR.
- Continuous education to maintain licenses and certifications.
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality regulations and standards.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Experience working with diverse populations, effective communication, crisis intervention, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care.
- PC skills, including electronic record-keeping applications, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $16 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time position (40 hours per week).
