Position Overview: As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to our clients whom are transitioning from an active addiction lifestyle to recovery. The primary responsibilities of a BHT are to help facilitate the daily facility and client schedule and weekend activities, monitor clients presence, work collaboratively with the treatment team, and maintain a safe, therapeutic and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and support to clients in our care.
- Encourage clients to participate in treatment plans and attend scheduled therapy and educational sessions.
- Help facilitate the daily schedule and supervise client activities including breaks from clinical, work assignments, and recreational activities.
- Observe client behaviors, symptoms, and progress; document accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, observations, and incidents in electronic health records, as directed by the treatment team.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing facility rules and responding to emergencies or crises as needed.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements. Maintain clear, professional and appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.
- Participate in all required training, and staff meetings.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including counselors, medical and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Perform light maintenance and cleaning and monitor/direct clients into maintaining their areas clean and orderly.
- Transport clients to and from clinical, housing, and other activities.
- Perform support functions such as filing, answering telephone calls, and greeting facility visitors.
- Planning and conducting special activities, as assigned.
- Support daily operations tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 18 years of age or older.
- 1+ year of Behavioral Health experience (preferred)
- Complete and pass pre-employment requirements, such as a background check and drug test.
Knowledge and Skills:

- Eager to grow, and receptive to feedback
- Understanding of the 12-steps, Refuge Recovery, and/or relevant recovery literature and principles of other established support models.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and team members effectively and efficiently.
