Behavior technicians work one-on-one with children and teens who need help reducing problem behaviors by replacing them with communication and skills building. We have a small team and are looking for just the right individual who already lives on O'ahu.
Behavior technicians are responsible for the following"
- Providing treatment sessions (ABA) in homes and in the community
- Taking data and reading graphs
- Running ABA programs
- Implementing behavior change procedures
- Running an upbeat and reinforcing session with multiple activities
- Communicating with your direct supervisor
- Communicating and modeling programs to caregivers.
- Maintaining your RBT certification
Qualifications:
- The position requires an active RBT certification. (If you don't have this certification but are willing to get it within a 2 week period - we will provide the 42 hours of training)
- Experience working with children
- Must be highly motivated, a team player, and able to take direction from supervisor
- Have good communication skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Aged 18+ years at start of one-on-one services with clients
- Clean background check (10 years)
- Reliable transportation
- Be able to work a consistent schedule
- Willing to be taught and accept feedback.
- Can squat, run, lift 35 pounds
