Momentum Behavior Services utilizes the science of ABA (applied behavior analysis) to alter the environment to change a target behavior while teaching new skills and decreasing non-adaptive behaviors (those that may interfere with daily living and/or may be causing harm to the individual and/or others).
JOB TITLE: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
SUPERVISION: Work is performed under the supervision and direction of assigned BCBA, Senior BCBA, and Regional Clinical Director of Momentum Behavior Services
JOB SUMMARY: Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). MBS is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team! In this position you will be working closely with a team of professionals in order to implement interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our Behavior Technician team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive thorough, paid training and ongoing supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Provide 1:1 therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with ASD
Utilize natural environment teaching, prompting, behavior reduction techniques, and other ABA principles to support individuals in achieving independence
Collect, record, and summarize data using company-provided devices and cutting-edge technology
Collaborate with Case Supervisors and Case Clinical Directors regarding client progress and behavior tracking
Work across multiple caseloads and teams to provide 1:1 treatment to clients
Lead in behavior-support during instances of nonadaptive behavior that require a 2:1 ratio of staff to client
Collaborate with other members of each clients team
Attend necessary ongoing training and education as required
General knowledge and understanding of HIPAA compliance and adherence to its guidelines
Other duties as assigned
HOURS OF WORK: Part-time, availability is needed between 2-7pm Monday-Friday, with weekend hours as needed

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree and/or pursuing a career in the behavioral health field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental, behavioral, or intellectual disabilities preferred, or are planning to pursue a career in the behavioral health field and want to gain invaluable experience as well as mentorship from professionals in the field.
JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific)
Working knowledge in implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Working knowledge and experience with directing and/or leading intervention in high intensity behaviors and situations. Ability to implement programming for a variety of clients with minimal 1:1 training. Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgrounds and ages. Follow policies and procedures of Momentum Behavior Services related to client care. Follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations, state and federal confidentiality laws.

Must be able to maintain high energy throughout each session based on the needs of the individual client served. Must be able to make decisions based on individual clients BIP during high stress situations. Must be able to provide constructive feedback when training other staff members. Work with many different personalities, able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude even amid highly stressful situations. Ideal candidate needs to have sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.
