Hours:
7.5 hrs daily/10 months (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM w/ ½ lunch)

Specifics:
High school graduate or equivalent, 48 college semester units (must attach official sealed transcripts); or Associate of Arts degree or higher required and verifications must be attached to submitted application. Under general direction of the assigned administrator or certificated staff member, assist teachers in the overall education of high risk students who have been diagnosed with autism, emotional disturbances, or related disorders; assist with student behavior management; assist teachers and staff in development and implementation of the individualized instruction program; prepare appropriate material; support student in the general education setting, collect daily progress data and consult with the student's IEP team on a regular basis; and perform related work as required. Perform routine clerical work including record keeping. Communicate satisfactorily in oral and written form. Ability may be required to be Bilingual/Biliterate in English and a designated second language. Ride with student to and from school. Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License and an acceptable driving record and qualification for insurability by the District's insurance carrier. Possess and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of duties. Moderate physical labor; may be required to perform heavier physical labor to assist physically disabled students in and out of wheelchairs and in the use of bathroom facilities.
