The company was founded in 2011 by a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D), David A. Pyles, Ph.D., with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of severe problem behaviors. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters detailing the Behavioral Diagnostics approach that he developed with Jon S. Bailey, Ph.D. Dr. Pyles’s work has resulted in decreased psychotropic medication use to treat problem behavior, along with reductions in injuries to staff and clients, and in the use of restraint and other restrictive behavioral procedures in a large state-operated developmental center.
Megan Pyles, MS, BCBA, is the clinical director of the Children’s division. She trained with leading experts, specializing in teaching verbal behavior to children with autism. Ms. Pyles developed an evidence-based teaching procedure to teach children with autism to ask “Why?” and has presented at several state and national conferences, teaching other behavior analysts how to teach a variety of communication skills to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Currently pursuing her Ph.D., Ms. Pyles is continuing her journey to discover evidence-based methods to increase the quality of treatment provided to children who receive ABA services.
