In addition, FACT pays for Mileage and Drive Time for all Full Time BIIs, we compensate mileage and drive time for site-to-site assignments.
Lastly, full-time employees are given 2 personal days between January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Behavior Interventionist Developer (BID), you will:
Understand and actively guide and develop program-wide expectations.
· Understand program-wide student and BII expectations and actively support all development programming.
· Consistently and enthusiastically promote the expectation of high achievement for all students and BIIs and reinforce program-wide rules and expectations.
· Facilitate recognition of students who are successful in meeting social, emotional, and behavioral goals.
· Promote a positive learning climate for students that reinforces replacement behaviors.
· Promote and teach self-regulation.
· Use of proper Observation and Note-taking techniques as well as the use of Welligent, Ankota & other company related systems & software.
Task/Competency
· Understanding of the Organization’s Purpose and Philosophy.
· Professional Boundaries are set and maintained with both fellow staff members, funding sources, clients, and any other outside agency.
· BII maintains client’s confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
· BII models a positive, client focused attitude.
· Time sensitive material is submitted by the given deadline to all requesting departments.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the BID, you will:
· Implement Behavior Intervention Services
· Work directly with students to implement their positive behavior support plan.
· Understand and implement the behavior support plan in the student’s current IEP along with the treatment plan developed and modified by the BID.
· Prompt student behaviors
· Collect data on behavior for interpretation by BID, teacher, and other school district staff.
· Records hours worked with client and client notes in Welligent and Ankota daily after completion of assignment.
· Direct any and all parent inquiries to BID Provider and teacher.
· Classroom responsibility is to provide service to the specific student BIT services by an IEP.
· Attend and complete all required training as assigned by FACT Management.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Data Collection and Documentation:
o BII’s are responsible for completing multiple types of data records.
o A Daily Data Record must be completed each day and then transcribed onto the Weekly Data Record.
o Weekly Data Records are to be completed each week, and then turned in monthly with your RDA and MSL.
o Your immediate supervisor will provide you with both hard copies and digital copies of all data records.
o Data must be collected each day, as a requirement of both LAUSD and FACT.
EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Essential knowledge and specialized subject knowledge required to perform the essential functions of the job:
Job Requirements/Evaluation Factors:
· High School Diploma.
· Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques preferred.
· Must be able to fluently read, write and speak in English.
· Minimum of 1+ years working as a BII, Behavior Therapist, Social Work, or related position.
· Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
· Understanding or willingness to learn basic office equipment and software used by the district in maintaining records and files (i.e.., Microsoft Office, Google, Ankota and Welligent)
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· Proficient in data collection.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must pass a Live Scan DOJ Fingerprint background check.
· Satisfactory TB Screening.
· Reliable transportation is a must and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and insured vehicle that meets minimum State of California insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste or smell. Carry and lift up to twenty-five pounds.
