Hourly Pay Range: $29.00 - $30.50
Completes behavioral assessments, related Behavior Support Plans, and other behavioral interventions as needed. Provides training, modeling, and coaching to stakeholders in the implementation of behavioral interventions. Monitors & measures outcomes of interventions, and revises planning and training approaches as needed to facilitate positive outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, and other assessments as needed to inform Behavior Support Plan and/or services development
• Develops and/or revises Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) or provides alternate clinical recommendations per assessment findings
• Collaboration with treatment/support teams, families and alternate stakeholders to maximize multi-disciplinary & person-centered approaches, and positive outcomes.
• Training, modeling, and coaching of stakeholders in the implementation of BSPs
• Devises behavioral tracking / outcome measures to illustrate the impact of interventions. Revises BSP and training approaches as needed to improve outcomes.
• Maintains clinical record and documentation
• Meets quality and productivity standards as assigned
• Active participation in agency committees and initiatives as assigned
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in social work, a clinical or treatment field of psychology, applied psychology, or school psychology; OR
• A National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis, or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology; OR
• A New York State license in mental health counseling;
• Possesses strong leadership skills as demonstrated by:
o Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary cross functional team.
o Ability to empower teams in plan implementation through education, modeling, and coaching.
o Ability to assist in solution building when challenges to recommendation implementation become apparent.
• Possesses strong assessment skills as demonstrated by:
o Utilization of evidenced based methods
o Appropriate selection of intervention methodologies based on assessment
o Effective use of clinical and administrative supervision aimed at continual clinical development
• Valid New York State Drivers License that meets agency policy
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following:
standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
• Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
• Ability to move, reposition and place individuals in pieces of equipment.
• Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations, including maintaining Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) and/or PROMOTE Curriculum certification as per OPWDD regulations
• CPR certification
