Position Summary

The RHD Intensive Behavioral Health Services Team (IBHS), a program of Resources for Human Development, Inc. support children, youth and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. These services are offered in their homes, schools and communities. Behavior consultation services consist of clinical direction of services to a child/youth or young adult.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Design and direct the implementation of individualized, group and ABA services
• Facilitate required evidence-based therapies and interventions as a part of the implementation of IBHS
• Facilitate group therapy in the school and community
• Develop initial individualized treatment plans (ITP) within 30 days of initiation of services; review and update ITP within 6-months of initial plan
• Conduct face-face assessment within 15 days of the initiation of services; review and update assessment every 12 months thereafter or as clinically indicated
• Analyze behavioral data in order to monitor treatment outcomes and assess the participant’s progress at least every 90 days
• Provide consultation for parents, teachers, and other members of the treatment team
• Complete discharge summaries in accordance to IBHS regulations
• Conduct weekly site visits in the home; school and community

Qualifications

Must meet one (1) of the following:

• Licensed as a Behavior Specialist;
• Certified as a BCBA or another graduate level certification in behavior analysis;
• Have an ABA graduate degree from an approved college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education;
• Have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field and at least 1 year full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults; or
• Have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or related field and completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum.

BC-ASD education requirements:

Licensed as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provisions of ABA services.

Physical requirements

Must be able to sit, stand and move about in the performance of their work.

Lifting Requirements

• Light: exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
