Our compensation has changed – top pay over $75,000 per year within 36 months:
Current Hourly Rates:
- Starting - $24.00
- 1 Year - $25.25
- 2 Year - 26.90
- 3 Year - 33.85
Wages go up each May with top rate of $36.26 in 36 months!

This position does NOT require a commercial license.
Operates a van or accessible shuttle and transports passengers with disabilities safely in accordance with Company policy and local, county, state, and federal laws.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle; sets correct destination and route signs
- Operates various types of vehicles, as assigned, safely, in all types of weather and traffic conditions, according to printed passenger schedules and Operators schedules
- Arrives and signs in on time; works hours as scheduled; wears clean, neat uniforms
- Picks up and discharges passengers at scheduled locations safely; regulates heating and ventilating equipment on the bus for the comfort of passengers
- Collects proper cash fares, following fare collection procedures
- Reports all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences to dispatch office immediately; submits written reports on accidents, incidents or unusual occurrences as required
- Accurately completes all reports
- Follows rules and regulations of the Company
- Adheres to all regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); assists passengers as needed, to enter and exit vehicle safely; correctly operates wheelchair lift with proper safety restraints as requested by the customer
- Provides transit information to passengers as needed
Other duties as required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must have a good driving record
Experience:
- No experience necessary
- No CDL required
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Good motor skills, good hearing, accurate color perception
- Ability to apply proper driving procedures
- Ability to learn transit routes and schedules and adapt to changes; ability to read a map
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations and policies
- Ability to assist passengers with special needs when needed
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must submit to DOT drug test and subject to ongoing DOT drug testing
- All Operators must pass a criminal background check including Oregon State Police (OSP) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Primarily seated in vehicle; stress caused by passengers and traffic; must be able to get in and out of the vehicle to assist passengers; some pulling and stretching required when assisting disabled.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather
- Lifting, pulling and pushing are among the physical requirements of performing work in this position. Specific required limits of weight are determined by location site.
Licensing, and Certifications Required:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must have a good driving record
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, preferred
Experience:
- Previous bus or other heavy duty vehicle driving experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Good motor skills, good hearing, accurate color perception
- Ability to apply proper driving procedures
- Ability to learn transit routes and schedules and adapt to changes; ability to read a map
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes
- Ability to assist handicapped passengers when needed
- Basic math and writing skills
- Clear speech
