Beautician

The Beautician is responsible for providing various beauty services to the residents of the community in a safe and secure environment. The services include hair shampooing, haircuts, manicures, and other advanced creative hairstyling. This position is contractor opening. Must have proof of liability and be a state certified cosmetologist.

Beautician Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains equipment and parlor in a clean and tidy manner
• Shampooing, cutting, styling and coloring resident’s hair
• Style’s hair consistent with resident’s request and preference
• Supplies chemicals to achieve permanents, relaxers and color in continuously competent manner
• Performing manicures and pedicures
• Keeps work areas completely clean and sanitized
• Keeps records of services performed on each resident
• Other duties as assigned

Beautician Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must obtain a Cosmetologist, Barber, or Beautician License
• Must meet requirements imposed by the licensing authorities
• Experience in Long Term Nursing facilities is preferred

Beautician Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
