Bear Creek Aquatic Camp (BCAC) is a traditional overnight summer camp owned and operated by the Girl
Scouts of Kentuckiana. BCAC is 183-acres tucked away in Girl Scout Bay on Kentucky Lake, playing host to a
variety of aquatic sports like sailing, paddling and swimming. Our program hosts girls in grades 4-12 with
up to 70 campers. The Director Team will attend training from 5/24/24 - 6/7/24. We are seeking an
enthusiastic Assistant Camp Director to ensure the ultimate summer camp experience for our campers and
staff. The Assistant Director will oversee the maintenance of general camp operations such as health care
procedures, kitchen/dietary needs, emergency preparedness, purchasing, programing, staffing and
communication with families. All this requires an organized leader that can work under pressure and
handle multiple tasks. Other duties include observing/evaluating staff, handling camper/staff
transportation, staying in contact with GSK HR department to make sure all paperwork and pay is in order,
and managing other administrative duties of Resident Camp. The Assistant Camp Director should be
professional, responsible, organized, and attentive. The ideal candidate will be invested in the
development of our campers while maintaining camp spirit and unity amongst staff that makes for a
successful camp season.
