The BDC service department answers incoming service calls and assists the customer in scheduling appointments. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming calls
- Contact and communicate with customers to identify service needs.
- Books appointments based on customer service needs.
- Contacts customers after service has been completed to determine their satisfaction with the process and purchase.
- Other assignments for outbound calls include but are not limited to safety recalls recommended services, special order parts and declined service.
- Assists with answering customer inquiries and problems by routing customers to the contact and or department.
- Attends company meetings and training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must possess strong customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual fluency is highly advantageous
- Must have the ability to sit for long hours while working from a desktop computer, phone systems, headsets, and an assortment of software
- Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 30 pounds.
Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior sales, call center, internet department or BDC experience preferred
- Retail experience preferred
- Service industry experience preferred
- Phone skills fluency required
- Manufacturer Training and all assigned SOAG training
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
