OVERALL GOALS
- Responsible for safety of employees and facility
- Responsible for quality, production on waste on Reiter, Neumag, Swiss Tex, and SmartPly during shift
- Responsible for all departments during shift
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Enforce and follow company safety rules and policies
- Ensure direct report employees follow job procedures and safety rules
- Perform online quality inspection of yarn (inspecting for variation in shade, compliance to air tack and winding requirements, making sure proper labels are being used
- Making sure all yarn on buggies is first quality and labeled with correct information before reaching inspection area
- Inspecting machines and towers to insure all work areas are kept clean (machines wiped, floors swept/mopped, trash emptied, recycling containers checked, etc)
- Ensure change overs are being performed in a timely manner and not being ran over or cut short with using Real Time Production, SAP and visual checks
- Responsible for daily checks on equipment, mazzini, silo/transport system, etc
- Signing/weighing in and assigning silo (BCF Spinning clerk supplies this information) to arriving bulk resin truck
- Must be familiar with set up/products that run on equipment (Reiter, neumag, Swiss tex, smartply)for correct product materials/planning
- Must be familiar with color/product changes on all machines
- Responsible for employee’s housekeeping of entire department (trashing, sweeping, mopping, wiping down machines, spin finish trays/buckets, etc.)
- Assist crew leaders as needed
- Assist all operators as needed
- Maintain date in real time production, real time waste, apex, color change, resa, required google forms, and shift summary
- Report any discrepancies to department manager
- Be aware of Aquafil's Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy (see supervisor if further explanation is needed).
